WHAT DOES SHE SEE IN ME?
What does she see in me?
With those brown eyes so big an' beautiful.
What does she see in me?
I know I'm not totally disreputable.
But,
What does she see in me?
Her smile lights up a gray day.
Her laughter chases a bad day away.
Her beauty outshines the sun,
At full noon high.
So,
What does she see in me?
I'm just an ordinary guy.
I ain't no corporate king.
But I ain't no fool.
'Bout the world,
I know a thing.
She's got me,
Juggling my emotions,
Like a circus clown.
I just hope she doesn't let me,
Drop my heart on the ground.
So I gotta know,
What she sees in me.
She's a successful woman.
She's got a master plan.
She's got her world,
In the palm of her hand.
Me,
I was a sailor,
On the sea of fate.
And I arrived at my port of call,
A little too late.
A deaf mute at the helm,
And a blind man at the rudder.
I was a willing victim,
To the changes in the weather.
When I look at her,
I see a woman,
Who is intelligent,
Beautiful,
And funny.
But what does she see,
When she's lookin' at me?
This man who hid,
From the light of love for so long.
This man who did everything,
Right,
Wrong.
This man who,
As a boy,
Played in the cold shadows of life.
This man who walked against the current of strife.
What does she see in me?
I must be a lucky man.
Though I understand,
It's just not easily understood.
I better stop questioning it,
Before I lose
something good.
