I never give money to street beggars. I will however, buy them a meal. That
way I know where my money went. And they see that someone can care enough
about them to take the time to make sure they are ok. They may not like the
idea that I'll spend $5 I could have given them on a McDonalds meal...

STREET PEOPLE
See them walkin',
Down the street.
See them draggin',
Their weary feet.
The sun beats down on them.
But they can't feel the heat.
They don't feel no heat.
See them hunger.
See them thirst.
See them linger,
On Main an' First.
See them crawl.
See them cry.
See them fall.
See them die.
See them peddle love,
On the corner.
The Sun beats down from
above.
But they can't feel the
warmth.
They don't feel no warmer.
See them con.
See them steal.
Their souls they pawn,
For their next meal.
See them borrow.
See them beg.
See them tomorrow,
In the same old rags.
See them lookin',
So very thin.
Wonder where they've been.
Livin' on the sidewalk.
The sidewalk never ends.
