SOME HEARTS
A teardrop falls,
Shattering on the ground.
A lonely heart calls,
But no one hears a sound.
Me myself,
And all alone.
With no answer,
On the phone.
Some hearts broken,
Will never mend.
And some hearts,
Will never bend.
Some hearts,
Will forever ache.
And some hearts,
Will surely break.
You were the summer,
Hot in my heart.
You were the thaw,
Breaking the ice apart.
Now it's winter,
In my soul.
An' where my heart was,
There is now a hole.
You stole my heart,
Off a silver tray.
You let me love you,
Then ran away.
I can forgive you,
For what you've done.
But I won't forget you,
If I live to a hundred an'
one.
