HOW IS ONE TO FEEL?
How is one to feel?
When they don't know if love
is real.
What is one to do?
When they don't know if love
is true.
How is one to react?
When they don't have all the
facts.
How is one to relax?
When all they see is are
stories,
Plays,
And acts.
How is one to feel?
When the pain is so strong
they don't.
How is one to find love that
is real?
When they've been going
against the grain so long,
They can't,
Won't.
What is one to do?
When the pain of opening
their heart becomes too great.
How is one to know if love is
true?
If they got caught up in the
traffic,
And arrived a little too,
Late.
How is one to react?
When they feel so open
wounded,
So helpless.
How is one to rely on the
facts?
When the fact is,
It's all a big mess.
How is one to stay calm and
relax?
When they see so much despair
and distress.
How is one to deal with all
the stories plays and acts?
When all they see are
performers rehearsing their lines.
How is one to know where they
stand?
When they can't see the
ground.
How is one to reach out their
hand?
And let someone else lead
them around.
How is one to feel?
When they don't know up from
down.
