HEY YOU!

Hey you!

Sittin' at home,

Not doin' a thing,

To help the world turn.

Believin' it's just a game.

There is a lesson you must learn.

There are no time-outs left to be taken.

Life is not free and easy.

If that's what you think,

You're quite mistaken.

I'm sorry if you don't agree.

Sorry if you're out to take life for granted.

I hope you believe in me,

When I say,

For a seed to grow,

It must be planted.

Hey you!

Sittin' there,

Vegetating on TV.

Growin' roots in your easy chair.

So entertained,

So warm and comfy.

What kind of world do you perceive?

Watching someone else's,

Twisted and exaggerated views of society.

How much of what you see,

Do you believe?

Livin' in their commercialized world of fantasy.

Weasel words,

They use to deceive.

Bending,

Warping,

Reality.

Look away from the neon light distractions.

Out on the streets tonight,

It's do or die situations.
