A poem for Mrs. Turner. She was a grand ol' gal from England. She was wise and honest. I wish she was still around.

AUTUMN MOON

Autumn moon

You're never late

Though you come too soon

You can never wait

Autumn moon

Across the sky

In our sleep

You never cry

You never weep

Autumn moon

The golden leaves

At the end of fall

Drop from trees

That stand naked and tall

Winter is near

On your tail

The time of year

The Earth goes pale

You take with you

Life

And you give in return

The circle of life

We all must learn

Autumn moon
